In regions around the world where the electricity supply is unstable, home energy storage systems are rapidly becoming an essential requirement. In March 2025, GSL ENERGY successfully deployed a high-capacity residential energy storage solution in Puerto Rico, providing local users with a stable and continuous power supply through four 14.34kWh wall-mounted storage batteries.
This project not only optimised the household electricity consumption structure but also further validated the reliability of lithium batteries for solar systems in high-temperature and high-humidity environments.
Puerto Rico has long faced power supply challenges due to an ageing grid and extreme weather conditions, with power cuts occurring frequently. These frequent outages have led an increasing number of households to seek backup battery solutions for their homes.
The client's core requirements for this project included:

Based on the above requirements, GSL ENERGY customised a home energy storage solution for the client, centred around a high-capacity wall-mounted battery.
This project utilises GSL ENERGY's flagship product—the 14.34kWh wall-mounted lithium iron phosphate battery—with capacity expanded through multi-unit parallel configuration:
Battery configuration: 4 × 14.34kWh (total energy storage capacity of 57.36kWh)
Parallel system design: Supports flexible expansion to meet growing electricity demands at different stages
Wall-mounted design: Saves installation space, fits seamlessly into residential wall environments, and is both aesthetically pleasing and practical
High safety performance: Utilises LiFePO4 cells, offering high thermal stability and a long cycle life
The system integrates seamlessly with solar systems, enabling integrated management of 'power generation + energy storage + power consumption', providing round-the-clock power support for the household.
Since the system was commissioned, the household's electricity experience has improved markedly. Even during grid outages, the energy storage system continues to supply power, ensuring the stable operation of critical loads such as lighting, refrigerators, and communication devices.
Furthermore, by effectively storing and allocating solar power generated during the day, users have significantly reduced electricity costs during peak hours, achieving more efficient energy utilisation.
Customer feedback indicates that the system performs stably and responds rapidly in actual operation. Particularly during sudden power cuts, the switchover is smooth and imperceptible, greatly enhancing the sense of security and continuity of the household's electricity supply.
This project in Puerto Rico has once again demonstrated the suitability and reliability of GSL ENERGY's wall-mounted energy storage batteries in overseas markets.
