The development will generate a new solar storage technology that introduces another competitor to the recently released lithium-ion solar cell technology --Led by famousTesla Powerwall.How does it work?There are two main elements of this technology.The first involves collecting heat and the second involves cooling the heat and storing it.
Heat from the sun is collected by the same solar panel technology commonly used in the solar industry, and the difference is the storage process of the captured energy.Once collected by solar panels, the heat is stored in a liquid of molten salt.This solution is very hot.Then cool the liquid molten salt with the remaining power with CO2 to produce dry ice.
The molten salt liquid then converts dry ice CO 2 into a \"supercritical\" fluid and efficiently converts energy into a turbine, called a solar wheel.This solar rotor can then supply the stored energy as needed.This process is efficient not only in terms of energy, but also in terms of space.
Sunrotor is small enough to fit on a shelf in the office to power 100,000 households.The space efficiency of this technology is a particularly revolutionary development, as the space required for some large-scale renewable energy installations is one of several shortcomings of current technology.In addition to increasing size efficiency, sunrotor technology is also looking to reduce energy costs from $250/MWh to $100/MWh.
