In 2024, GSL ENERGY successfully deployed an off-grid residential energy storage system on Saipan Island, USA, providing local users with a green, independent, and reliable 24/7 power supply experience.

Project Overview

Location: Saipan Island, U.S.

Energy Storage Equipment:

3 units of GSL ENERGY 51.2V 200Ah 10kWh UL-certified wall-mounted lithium iron phosphate batteries

2 units of GSL ENERGY 51.2V 100Ah 5kWh UL-certified wall-mounted lithium batteries

Total Capacity: 40kWh

Inverter Brands: SRNE + PCEN

System Application: Off-grid power supply system for households

Supply Model: Direct factory supply + customized system design

Island energy storage solutions

Addressing island power challenges, GSL provides a complete off-grid solution. On Saipan Island, power is primarily generated by fuel-powered generators, resulting in an unstable supply and extremely high costs. In this project, the client selected GSL ENERGY's energy storage system, combining photovoltaic power generation with lithium-ion battery storage to effectively address the following issues:

Stable Power Supply: The system can operate completely off-grid, enabling a 24/7 off-grid self-sufficient power supply

UL Certification Assurance: Batteries comply with North American market safety standards for safe use

Flexible Configuration: A combination of 3 x 10kWh and 2 x 5kWh batteries to accommodate varying load requirements across different power zones

Plug-and-play: Highly compatible with mainstream inverters, ensuring easy installation.

Resistant to island climates: Features corrosion resistance, moisture resistance, and high-temperature resistance, making it particularly suitable for tropical marine environments.
