Lithium polymer battery is the most popular radio power source
Control model.
They are relatively cheap, light in weight and have a lot of energy.
However, many new amateurs may have some questions about their business.
Here are three common questions about them. 1.
What is cell balance?
Lithium polymer batteries are usually packaged into more than two batteries.
For example, the electric RC helicopter uses 3-cell packs.
The nominal voltage of each battery is 3. 7v;
This means that it works when each battery holds the charge between 3. 0 to 4. 2v.
Beyond or below this range may damage the cells, make them useless, or, worse, become dangerous and unstable and explode.

What is Level C? A lot of radio-
Quickly grasp the meaning of most batteries-
In addition to one: C class, the associated initials are acronyms words.
In fact, many experts stumble over themselves when trying to explain this.
However, I recently heard a good explanation from an old Chinese battery manufacturer/expert.
This is: \"C rating\" is the number you multiply the battery capacity to get the discharge rate. Still confused?
Basically, a 1000 mAh battery rated 1C will provide 1000 mA of the electricity in 1 hour.
On the other hand, if the rated power of the same package is 2C, it will provide 2000 mA power in 30 minutes. 3.
How fast do I charge?
The maximum charging rate is different for each lithium polymer battery pack.
It is very important to never charge at a rating above the stated rate!
Most batteries have a label that says these important information.
However, if the maximum charging rate is not specified, keep in mind that most of the fat is charged at the rate of 1C.
This means that the 1000 mAh package can be charged at 1A, and the 500 mAh package can be charged at 0. 5A.
Again, never exceed the maximum charging rate so as not to explode the battery!
