one, two, three uses for a123\\\'s new batteries

A123\'s (NASD:AONE)
Announcing a new battery technology that can operate at extremely high temperatures and extremely low temperatures has made headlines dream of cheaper electric vehicles.
Electric cars may be fantastic, but they are just an application of technology.
There are at least two, and there is a lot of potential in the short term. 1.
Is it really an electric car (EVs)?
Of course, it\'s good to be able to cut Tesla\'s price of $600 (NASD:TSLA)
Model S or Nissan Leaf (NASD:NSANY)
But how much will a car of $58,000 or $36,000 make a difference?
That\'s nothing compared to the federal $7,500 tax credit, and (surprise! )
With the price of electric vehicles falling, government support for electric vehicles will be much less.
Or that subsidy will be cut before the car becomes cheaper, which is a real possibility in these budgets --cutting times.
With solar and wind subsidies, we see this happening again and again.
Why are electric cars different?
In short, the new technology of a123 (
This will adjust the electrode and electrolyte of lithium
Iron phosphate battery)
In the electric car market, this may give it an edge over other battery manufacturers, but investors should be more excited about the other markets it opens up.
Two of these markets have taken the lead.
Acid start battery and remote backup-up power. 2. Start-
For traditional lithium-ion batteries, it is too hot to stop the engine compartment of a typical car, which is partly the reason (
The other is the price)
Our car is still using lead-acid batteries.
But the power to improve fuel efficiency is to make automakers look like an expensive one.
Start-up technology, when the car turns at a red light or driving time and space, it turns off the enginethrough window.
Traditional lead-acid batteries are simply not durable enough for fast, repetitive charge cycle stopsstart requires.
Automakers are considering some more advanced options, including lithium.
Battery-ion battery
Super capacitor hybrid from Maxwell technology (NASD:MXWL)
Co-author, and lead carbon batteries from Axion Power (OTC:AXPW). Lithium-
Among these options, ion batteries are the most expensive, but they also have the advantages of lighter weight and faster charging. Ultracapacitor-
Battery hybrids are only now seeing their first commercial application, and while lead-carbon batteries have shown excellent performance in testing, they have not yet been commercially used.
Lithiumionbattery, who can withstand the heat in the engine compartment, may attract the hope of adding stop-
Use more familiar techniques to start the technology of existing models with minimal redesign. Early stop-
Starting the vehicle with advanced lead-acid batteries works well at the beginning, but with the battery degraded in a few months, the mileage will get worse. A drop-
Replacement based on high temperature lithium ion batteries will be a quick solution for these vehicles that are already on the road. 3.
The most exciting thing for me to back up the power supply is that in the absence of a reliable power supply from the grid, it is possible to use these new batteries as a backup power supply for the battery tower or area.
The problem with using lead-acid batteries in these applications is that lead-acid batteries are slow to charge, which means that diesel generators have to run for a long time to charge.
In places like India where power is not reliable, lithium-ion batteries may make diesel generators completely unused, while in remote power cases it can run for less time.
Remove the diesel generator from the back-
Up power system may require a lot less lithium ion battery than removing the gas engine from the car, so the equivalent oil bucket saved by the lithium ion battery per kWh is much higher.
This economy may be more attractive than the economy of electric vehicles.
Conclusion it is worth charging the potential of these new batteries from a123.
If the technology is as effective as the company says, they will save a lot of money and fuel.
But most of these savings will not be found on the affordablevehicle electric vehicle highway.
The opportunity to really save fuel is not as far away as the opportunity for cheap electric vehicles.
Stop this idea and start thinking
Empty transfer technology and mobile tower.
The opportunity for backup power may be in remote markets, but its chances are not far away.

60kWh High Voltage Battery Energy Storage System Case Study with Solis Inverters

High voltage batteries for energy storage are becoming the preferred solution for commercial and industrial solar applications worldwide. Compared with low voltage systems, high voltage battery energy storage systems deliver higher efficiency, lower energy loss, and better inverter compatibility—especially in markets such as Vietnam, where electricity costs and grid stability are key concerns.

This case study presents a 60kWh high voltage battery energy storage system in Vietnam, deployed with Solis high voltage hybrid inverters, using a stackable high voltage LiFePO₄ battery architecture.
How Does GSL Energy Liquid-Cooling Energy Storage System Operate Stability in Ukraine's Cold Winter?
Deploying energy storage systems in cold winter regions imposes challenges that often extend beyond mere installation completion. The core difficulty lies in achieving long-term stable operation in sub-zero environments. Cold temperature can affect cell activity and charge/discharge capabilities, while also potentially introducing engineering challenges such as condensation, moisture build-up, and thermal stress differentials, placing higher demands on the thermal management and control strategies of the storage system.
