Recently, GSL ENERGY was invited by the Lepidoptera project to organize and participate in a technical empowerment activity. Mr. Stone, the head of the technical department, traveled to the Lepidoptera region to give a technical demonstration and provide support.
The Lobihai region is located in the United States, and GSL ENERGY's project team utilized its unique low-voltage HUB technology to connect 48 units of 10kWh rack-mounted batteries, forming a total of 480kWh that can be used in the region for power backup and load supply.
Low-voltage HUB technology means that several HUB modules are connected in parallel in a low-voltage electrical system. In the field of energy storage, it is not easy to realise the stable operation of 48 batteries connected in parallel, which requires balancing and solving the problems of equalisation of currents, communication control, thermal management, and protection mechanisms.
However, two years ago, GSL ENERGY realised the parallel connection of 32 energy storage batteries in a project in Switzerland, and the system is still in stable operation.
As we all know, when multiple HUBs work in parallel, harmonic currents will be generated, and these harmonics may lead to grid voltage distortion, affecting the normal operation of other equipment, and may also reduce the control accuracy of the HUB battery module itself.
For battery charging scenarios, GSL ENERGY advocates a staggered parallel connection scheme, which reduces output current ripple while optimising parameter design to improve power density and efficiency.
Batteries have individual differences in the production process, such as internal resistance, capacity, and other parameters are not the same, resulting in uneven current distribution. Long-term current unevenness may cause some batteries to be overcharged or over-discharged, affecting battery life and even causing safety problems.
GSL ENERGY, through its intelligent equalisation control technology, takes into full consideration the interaction between modules and the overall performance of the system, and not only accurately controls the voltage, current, power, and other parameters of each module, but also continuously adjusts and optimises them in practical applications.
In addition, the GSL ENERGY battery energy storage system is equipped with good adaptability to load changes and electromagnetic compatibility, which further reduces the impact of communication failures and electromagnetic interference, as well as the impact of load changes.
As a leader in battery energy storage solutions, GSL ENERGY has deployed more than 5.8GWh of battery products globally, all of which are powered by REPT-A cells, and is one of the very few manufacturers in the industry with a 10-year warranty. And cooperating customers have been very complimentary of GSL ENERGY's guaranteed after-sales service and technical attitude.
The successful application of 48 sets of 10kWh energy storage batteries shows that GSL ENERGY's low-voltage HUB parallel technology has been very stable and even reached the international leading level in terms of practical application, which not only highlights GSL ENERGY's technological strength in battery energy storage systems, but also opens up the overseas popularity, and we are looking forward to cooperating with more overseas partners in the future for a win-win situation.
