Battery energy storage systems from Chinese factories are being installed in British homes to achieve energy independence

In April 2025, a UK homeowner chose to collaborate with GSL ENERGY, an energy storage battery manufacturer, to install a 60kWh wall-mounted energy storage system in their residential garage. The system is equipped with GSL's high-quality inverters, enabling full-home electricity coverage and daily charging support for electric vehicles.

The client selected six 10kWh lithium iron phosphate wall batteries produced by GSL's factory. These batteries were manufactured at GSL's automated factory in Huizhou, Guangdong Province, and underwent multiple inspections before leaving the factory. They feature high stability, easy installation, and support for parallel expansion, making them highly popular among overseas residential users.

Engineering Configuration Highlights:

Wall-mounted structure, neat and aesthetically pleasing: The equipment is neatly installed on the garage wall, occupying zero floor space, combining both aesthetics and practicality.  

Modular expansion design: By paralleling six battery modules, a 60kWh capacity is achieved, with the option to expand to 16 modules in the future.  

Whole-house power supply + EV charging functionality: While ensuring the household's daily power needs for lighting, air conditioning, hot water, etc., the system can also efficiently charge electric vehicles.

Smart safety protection: The batteries are equipped with GSL's proprietary intelligent BMS management system, integrating temperature control, overvoltage, and overcurrent protection mechanisms.  

Remote monitoring: Customers can monitor battery operation data in real-time via mobile devices or web portals, enabling visualized energy management.  

Certification and manufacturing assurance:

This battery model has obtained multiple authoritative certifications, including IEC62619, CE-EMC, and UN38.3. It is manufactured at GSL ENERGY's 15,000-square-meter modern production base in Guangdong, China, with an annual production capacity of 5.8 GWh. It supports global customization and large-scale delivery, with stable delivery times and controllable quality.

Project feedback:

Customers have reported that the system has operated stably since its implementation, providing dual assurance for both daily power supply and emergency power supply, while significantly reducing electricity costs during nighttime peak periods. Through the solar system's daytime power generation combined with energy storage for nighttime power supply, the household's energy independence rate has been significantly enhanced.
