GSL ENERGY recently supported the deployment of a dual commercial energy storage system in the Netherlands. The project consists of two liquid-cooled C&I energy storage cabinets installed at a research-oriented facility with stable and continuous power requirements.

Dual ESS configuration (232kWh + 261kWh) deployed by a local GSL ENERGY partner, illustrating flexible capacity combination for commercial applications.

The system configuration includes:

  1 × 125kW / 232kWh liquid-cooled ESS

  1 × 125kW / 261kWh liquid-cooled ESS

The installation was completed by a local authorized GSL ENERGY partner, ensuring compliance with regional electrical standards and on-site safety requirements.

System Design & Configuration

Liquid-Cooled Architecture for Long-Term Stability

Both systems adopt liquid cooling technology, enabling precise thermal management at the battery cell level. Compared with traditional air-cooled solutions, liquid cooling delivers:

More uniform internal temperature distribution

Reduced thermal stress on battery cells

Improved system efficiency and extended cycle life

This design is particularly suitable for applications requiring long-duration operation, predictable performance, and low maintenance.

Flexible Capacity Combination

By combining two cabinets with different energy capacities (232kWh and 261kWh), the system achieves:

Installation & Deployment

The energy storage cabinets were installed on-site following a standardized deployment process. The compact cabinet structure and integrated system design allowed for efficient installation and commissioning, minimizing impact on existing operations.
